My name is Kiera O’Brien and I am a senior at Gettysburg College. I am a sociology major with an English minor. The inspiration for my capstone project stemmed from current news stories. 2020 has been a hectic year with COVID-19 and President Trump. His rhetoric around the pandemic and the reporting of this news from different news outlets sparked my interest. Bias is very real and I wanted to research this idea more. This website should describe the differences between the way that liberal vs conservative news outlets portray Trump’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
